Imam B. Jaiteh Charitable Foundation donates 3 Gambian villages

The Chairman of the Imam B. Jaiteh Charitable Foundation during the first day of Ramadan donated 40 bags of rice and 40 gallons cooking oil to the three Jamali villages in the CRR.

The Gambian Imam, based in London, England, also made a brief speech during a presentation ceremony in the presence of the three Alkalos and noted the importance of helping the needy during difficult times.

Imam B. Jaiteh also told the Point that it was essential to remember the ‘‘vulnerable and weak as well as the poor’’ who due to the Covid 19 outbreak suddenly found themselves in a difficult and tough time sustaining themselves.

This correspondent was also informed about the delight and joy of the villagers including the information that more was in the pipeline including ‘‘machines for village women, boreholes and other essential requirements’’.

The Gambian Imam who is instrumental in similar activities had attended events alongside with the Point including the London Metropolitan Police and other important institutions in England.

He also prayed for peace, tranquility and stability as well as a quick solution to the Covid 19 Pandemic and thanked the people and Gambian government for their support towards everyone including those in the diaspora.
