Gov’t upholds foreign travel ban for civil servants

The Gambia has reminded all heads of government entities that in recognising the urgent need to control government expenditure, they are reminded about the Executive Order that temporarily freezes all foreign travels, except statutory meetings and fully funded trips in order to effectively manage and control government expenditure.

This is a gentle reminder to all heads of Government entities that in recognizing the urgent need to control government expenditure, you are hereby reminded the Executive order aims to temporarily freeze all foreign travels, except statutory meetings and fully funded trips in order to effectively manage and control government expenditure.

Please note that there MUST be back to office report to be submitted to the Secretary to the Cabinet for any statutory meeting attended.
