Β The Government of the Republic of The Gambia notes with concern the recent escalation of tensions in the Middle East.

The Government calls on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, pursue de-escalation, and resolve differences through dialogue and diplomacy in accordance with international law. The protection of civilian lives and critical infrastructure remains imperative. Continued instability carries serious implications for regional and global peace, security, and economic stability.

In view of the evolving situation, Gambian nationals residing in or travelling to affected areas are advised to:
Exercise heightened caution and remain vigilant;
Avoid areas of military activity, public demonstrations, and large gatherings;
Monitor official advisories issued by host authorities;
Ensure travel and identification documents are valid and readily accessible;
Defer non-essential travel to areas experiencing heightened tensions.

Gambian nationals are encouraged to maintain contact with the nearest Gambian diplomatic mission, or where none exists, seek assistance through friendly diplomatic representations.
