The Gambia government in a press release announced redeployments and fresh appointments in its diplomatic mission and institutions across the country, marking the first major reshuffle in government in 2026.

- Musa Bah in Qatar promoted to counsellor in Qatar Embassy
- Abubacarr Camara, Director General GTB redeployed to Qatar as Deputy Head of Mission
- Karamo Janneh former DG GMA appointed as Deputy Head of Mission in Sierra Leone
- Kajali Sonko DPS OP, promoted as Permanent Secretary at OP
