The Gambia For All (GFA) political party has promised to make The Gambia better than it is under the current government powers that be.

The party’s senior executives made this promise on Saturday at a well attended mini-political rally by party members, militants and other Gambians at Bundung Bantaba in the Kanifing Municipality.

Muhammed Jaiteh, the GFA chairman for Bundung, called for a leadership change in The Gambia for the well-being of Gambians and the country.

He appealed to Gambians, especially the people of Bundung, to support GFA “because it's the party that will bring changes to this country”.

Sonna Samba, a resident of Bundung Bantaba, said that many politicians have visited them for their support and they refused to join their political parties, but when the GFA approached them and shared their party manifesto, they decided to join the GFA party because they noticed “it is the party that can bring the change the Gambians want in the country”.

She challenged the  GFA party leader and secretary general Bakary B. Dabo to find solutions to the skyrocketing prices of basic food commodities in the country if he becomes the president of The Gambia come 2026 presidential elections.

Haddy Njie, another Bundung Bantaba resident, asked the GFA executive members to empower the youth and women if they happen to assume the reins of governance. She said people are always following and supporting politicians during election periods but when they win elections and assume power they forget about the youth and women who dance and clap for them during their campaigns.

Ahsey Jallow, head of the organising committee for the GFA party, called on the party militants to trust them and rally behind the GFA for a better Gambia.

Modou Mareng, from Bundung Bantaba, gave assurances to the executive members of the GFA that he and his fellow youth from Bundung Bantaba would support the GFA because it is the party they trust could rule the country and bring development “that will empower the youth of Bundung and the country at large”.

Bakary B. Dabo, the GFA party leader and Secretary General, responded to the issues and concerns raised by his supporters in Bundung, saying that if he is elected the president of The Gambia “the crime rate and the skyrocketing of prices of basic food commodities will be a thing of the past in The Gambia” because he (Dabo) and his team of experts “have the solutions” to their problems.

Mr Dabo said if he becomes head of State of The Gambia they would promote fair play in the country, fight corruption and develop the country’s infrastructure.

He added that they would improve agriculture through farm mechanisation for the well-being of the Gambian farmers and the betterment of the country.
