Personnel of The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) who are leaving for a peace keeping mission in Sierra Leone, will be responsible for the entire communications during their mission, The Point has been reliably informed.

A source who is familiar with the matter and wished to speak on the condition of anonymity has confirmed the development, saying: “I can confirm to you that the Gambian contingent will be responsible for the communication during their mission in Sierra Leone. This clearly tells you that our armed forces are highly respected even at international level.”

“The GAF will be responsible for all in-coming and out-going calls during their mission. This is a huge responsibility. I can clearly tell you that the GAF will execute these responsibilities to their utmost best.”

“In fact, this is not the first time that GAF has been given such a responsibility putting into account their previous missions in Darfur and other places.”

With the ongoing restructure and reforms that the high command of the GAF is embarking on, our source said, “the GAF will continue to excel at international level at all times.”
