Dr Abubakary Jawara, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GACH Global, has continued his humanitarian gesture and support towards the promotion of Islam in the country.

The GACH CEO has again effected a benevolent gesture with the latest donation of five hundred thousand dalasis (D500,000) to Kerr Mamma Village for the construction of their village central mosque.

The half a million dalasis is aimed at helping the villagers to construct their central mosque, which has degenerated into an appalling site for the community.

The D500,000 was received by the State House Imam Alhaji Mustapha Jallow, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Alhaji Mamma Jallow Foundation and also a native of Kerr Mamma Village in the Upper Nuimi District of North Bank Region (NBR).

Alhagie Bun Jallow, who was speaking at the convergence, dwelled on the importance of donation, saying: “I can tell you that this donation has come at the right time and GACH has definitely rescued us with such a huge amount of money.”

Alhagie Sheriff Jallow, Kerr Mamma Central Mosque Imam, deliberated on the importance of spending hard-earned money on the welfare of the Islamic religion, saying: “Abubakary Jawara is the first person to donate to the village such an amount of money to construct their mosque.”

The village Imam further said: “Our central mosque is currently in a terrible condition and it needs urgent repair. We, therefore, thank Mr Jawara for the gesture. In fact, during the rainy season, inhabitants of the area find it difficult to even pray inside the mosque due to the fact that it is not in good condition.”

Imam Jallow added: “Today, we can proudly call Dr Abubakary Jawara our son who wipes the tears of his people and he will continue to be blessed."

The Imam further assured that the money would be used for its intended purposes.

Bai Dodou Jallow, the Vice President of the Alhaji Mamma Jallow Foundation, also thanked the donor for his benevolent gesture, describing GACH boss as a “true believer who continues to help all and sundry with whatever he has”.
