The presiding magistrate, in his judgment, told the court that the convict was charged under Section 84(A) of the Criminal Code. He added that the offence with which the convict was charged attracts three years imprisonment. He further stated that the convict was a first-time offender and did not waste the time of the court and pleaded guilty.
Reading the facts to the court, Prosecutor Camara, who represented the IGP, stated: “Your Worship, it happened on the 4th February, 2025, at Kololi. The complainant, Sheikh Bangura, was at his workshop with his friends. The convict then walked into the workshop and started insulting the complainant’s mother but the complainant kept silent. The convict continued insulting the complainant while he was wielding a cutlass, threatening to kill him. The complainant then informed his boss who tried to broker peace between the two but the convict would not relent. The complainant, as a result, reported the matter at Kololi Police Station. The convict was subsequently arrested.”
