Construction works under Phase 3 of the Bertil Harding Highway are progressing steadily, with the contractor undertaking several key activities across different sections of the project.

The works are being executed by Arezki S.A., which continues to advance construction on multiple components of the highway upgrade.

Following the successful completion of the double surface dressing along the Independence Stadium Road section, the contractor has now commenced the laying of interlocking pavement blocks in the Senegambia area on both sides of the road.

In addition, sand stabilisation works are currently ongoing around Marouns Supermarket, covering the right sides of the service road.

Meanwhile, the contractor is also carrying out scaffolding works for the bridge deck at the Sukuta–Jabang Overpass. At the same time, hexagonal concrete panels for the embankment protection of the overpass are being cast at the Arezki construction camp located behind the Airport.

The works form part of the broader effort to enhance the Bertil Harding Highway corridor and improve traffic flow along one of the country’s busiest transport routes.
