Mai Ahmad Fatty, leader of the Gambia Moral Congress (GMC) has urged the Gambia government to look into the welfare of the frontline workers most especially public health officers and those under quarantine.
Mr. Oremi Joiner has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation, while Mr Bai Ibrahim Cham, Director General of GAMWORKS was appointed as Chairperson of the National Roads Authority (NRA).
The President has also appointed Ms Fatou Jaw Manneh as Honorary Adviser on Strategic Communications, Development and Emerging Social Issues.
All the appointments take immediate effect.
Director of Health Promotions and Education has confirmed full functionality of Covid-19 toll free number following reports and fury over it not being answered when called.
