Ambassador Bah honours Embassy’s longest serving driver for distinguished service

His Excellency Ambassador Momodou Lamin Bah presided over a ceremony at the Embassy to honour its longest serving driver, Mr Queen Fadera, following his retirement in December on grounds of old age. Mr. Fadera joined the Embassy in 1987 and served under eleven Ambassadors during his 38-year tenure.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Bah expressed profound gratitude for the exemplary service Mr. Fadera has returned to the Mission since his appointment. He offered prayers for his continued wellbeing and long life, assuring him that the Embassy would always remain his home. The Ambassador presented Mr. Fadera with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his unwavering dedication, professionalism, and loyalty to the Mission and to the Government of The Gambia.

In further acknowledgment of his remarkable contributions, the Embassy’s Management presented Mr. Fadera with a token of appreciation, underscoring the Mission’s gratitude for his commitment and exemplary work ethic.

Embassy staff also conveyed their heartfelt appreciation, extending best wishes for his continued success, good health, and fulfillment in his future endeavours. Mr. Fadera’s legacy of service, they noted, will remain a lasting source of pride within the Mission.
