THE LIGHT HAS COME.

It is clear from the beginning that God is Light and that there is no shadow of turning with Him. (James 1:17) He  produced the light in the firmament as an extension of Himself because "He wraps Himself in light." (Ps. 104:2) -- meaning that all about Him is light.

Jesus Himself takes this up in John 8: 12: "I am the Light of the World." Another affirmation about God is recorded in 1 Timothy 6:16 "...who lives in unapproachable light whom no one has seen or can see.."

This definition establishes the notion of a spotless Being. At the Transfiguration, Jesus demonstrated that light in the presence of Prophets Moses and Elijah as witnesses.

Therefore a God who is Light itself, who is brighter and more powerful than light, cannot cohabit with darkness, whether it be Belial or Mammon. They are not on the same wavelength. It is that Light that was calling on the Gentiles to "Arise, shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." (Isa: 60:1)

God desires for His light to shine to elbow the clouds of darkness in the world out of sight.

To this end, God is looking out for those who would shine His light to expel darkness; so that the celebration will begin. "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned. " (Isa. 9:2)
