Two upcoming female designers are calling on individuals, companies and other institutions in the country to come to their aid to develop themselves in designing as well as to give hand in the development of culture and arts.
The two designers, Fatou Bobb and Arabatou Keita, who are graduates of the same school, decided to go in for the profession after finishing high school.
In a chat with Entertainment recently at The Point newsroom, the two industrious girls said since they finished high school and were not doing anything, they decided to go in for designing, which they think is better than sitting down idling.
“We think designing is one of our great talents through which we can showcase to the Gambian people our creativity,” the young ladies said, adding that they developed the skills naturally and enhanced it through practice, so they are in need of support to take designing to higher heights.
“We are also efficient in changing and creating diverse cultural styles and modes of dressing,” Fatou and Arabatou said.
