The Secretary-General of the Gambia Secondary Schools Sport Association (GSSSA), Alhagie S. Darboe has disclosed that the ongoing Secondary Schools football and volleyball competition has now reached its peak.
According to Mr. Darboe, Trust Bank is the main sponsor of the Senior Secondary Schools football and volleyball competitions, while Gambia Secondary Schools Sport Association (GSSSA) is also sponsoring the Upper Basic football and volleyball competitions in all the sixth educational regions.
The Trust Bank sponsored prize, Mr. Darboe added, includes the winner of a D10, 000 cash prize and a giant trophy, while the runners-up will bag D6, 000.

According to him, another sixteen Upper Basic Schools will also take part in the football and volleyball competition proper, which he said shall start tomorrow at different venues within the KMC and Western Region.
Group A Senior Secondary Schools football comprises Gambia SSS, Kaur SSS, St. Peters SSS and Bottrop SSS, while Group B includes Nustrat SSS, St. Augustine SSS, Siffoe SSS and Bansang SSS.
