The Youth Ambassadors of Peace (YAP) an international peace advocacy organization in the country has revealed that its third international youth summer school on peace will be held from July 24th-August 1st 2009.
According to information reaching the youth forum, the annual summer camp will bring together 200 young people across the country and beyond as well as people from youth friendly organizations.
The ten day forum will discuss the numerous problems affecting youths, and map out strategies to promote peace in the world.
The venue for the gathering this year is Armitage Senior Secondary School in Janjanbureh, Central River Region.
The theme for this year is 'in the search of peace for Africa'.
The aim of the camp is to promote the culture of peace, tolerance, and international friendship geared towards making the world a better place for human survival.
Thematic areas will include human rights, preventive, peace building, early warning, good governance, and democracy.
