Today,
November 20, 2019, the world celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Convention
on the Rights of the Child, a historic milestone that will be characterised by
high level engagements with children from across the world at the UN
Headquarters in New York.
In The Gambia, children from across the
country will be provided the platform to take part in discussions on the Gambia
they want. The resolutions from these discussions will be captured in a
document titled the “Gambia We Want” which will be presented to the Speaker of
the National Assembly by more than hundred children on November 23rd, 2019.
