Women U-17 in Morocco for ten-day camp

The Gambia’s Women U-17 side are currently in Morocco for a ten-day camp ahead of the World U-17 tournament in Azerbaijan later this month.

The team left Banjul Saturday night with 21 players and 8 officials for the training camp. 

The side, which will be making their maiden appearance at the world’s show, is expected to leave North Africa at the tenth day of their camp for Azerbaijan before the kickoff.

Poinsports was also informed that more officials from Banjul will be joining the team in Azerbaijan on 17 September.

Team list: Aminata Gaye, Mariama Ceesay, Fatim Jawara, Amie Jarju, Fatou Fatty, Mariama Bojang, Anna Nyassi, Binta Colley, Sirreh Jatta, Ndey Beyai, Fatou Gibba, Isatou Jallow, Awa Demba, Veronic Malack, Fatou Darboe, Maria Camara, Penda Bah, Metta Sanneh, Awa Tamba, Adama Tamba and Sainey Sissoho.

Officials: head coach - Buba Jallow, assistant coach/team administrator - Choro Mbenga, assistant coach - Mariama Sowe, goalkeeper trainer - Alagie Marong, team doctor - Kalifa Manneh, physio - Sainabou Cham, kits manager - Kadijatou Yafaye Jatta, and technical director - Musa Njie.
