Women organisation in dire need

A women organisation based in Bundung Borehole, called "Women Organisation for Islamic Studies" (WOFIS), The Gambia is currently soliciting assistance from all sectors for the construction of a mosque.

According to its President, Oustass Saikou BK Manjang, the organisation is presently in need of a mosque in Bundung Borehole. Oustass Manjang said his organisation has a plot of land which is intended for the construction of a mosque for the community, with a population of over two thousand (2000) inhabitants.

He revealed that because of the size of the plot of land and the number of facilities intended to be constructed at the site, his organisation thought it wise to go in for the construction of a story building.

Asked about the type of facilities intended within the mosque campus, Manjang said congregation hall for worshipers, classrooms for the Muslim Ummah and accommodation for the Imam of the mosque.

He stated that his organisation has a membership of over one hundred people of all ages. He said his organisation and the community of Bundung Borehole couldn't do it alone, due to their weak financial strength.
