The sixth prosecution witness (PW6), Pa Alieu Sambou, a resident of Kubuneh Village, in Kombo North of the West Coast Region, was recently cross-examined in the robbery case involving one Gibby Sey, at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

The witness told the court that he knew the accused person but he could not tell for how long he knew him.

He said they shared the same garage, adding that he could not say anything about the attitude of the accused person.

“The accused told me that he was given the vehicle to drive it,” he said.

PW6 further elucidated that before the incident, he used to see the accused person sometimes with a vehicle, adducing that in Jululum it was him and one Landing who were detained.

He said the accused was nowhere to be seen, and when he came back, he told them that he was sent to the Brikama Police Station.

“We were detained for 3 to 4 days before being taken to the major crime unit,” PW6 explained.

The case continues.
