Who will help me!

Fatoumatta Kamaso, a 15-year-old grade six student of Tallinding Lower Basic School, is in dire need of help to undergo medical treatment abroad.

According to her medical report from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul dated 13 February 2009, Fatoumatta is suffering from heart problem and sickle cell infection that cannot be treated in The Gambia. She therefore needs to undergo medical treatment abroad, the report says.

In an interview with this reporter at The Point offices in Fajara on Thursday, Fatoumatta’s brother, Jali Musa Kamaso, said his younger sister is in critical condition thus needs urgent help.

Kamaso is appealing to the government, the private sector, philanthropists and individuals to support them pay for the overseas treatment of Fatoumatta.
