As the 2010 Gambia Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA) annual Inter-Schools Athletics Championship draws nearer, twenty-five upper basic schools across Western Region are set to converge at the Brikama Upper Basic School grounds better known as Alpha Khan to hold its annual Inter-Schools Athletics Championship heats tomorrow, Saturday 6th February 2010.
Gunjur Upper Basic School were crowned champions, while Jamisa Upper Basic School finished runners-up in last year's Western Region Upper Basic Schools Inter-Schools Athletics heats
The organising committee of the championship is appealing to all participating schools to exercise discipline and tolerance during the event.
The event is expected to pull a large number of spectators, especially parents of children attending the listed schools.
