West Coast Region 3rd Division qualifiers commence

The 2012-2013 West Coast Region third division qualifiers kicked off at the weekend with interesting and exciting encounters across the region.

Kombo Kerewan started with a 1-0 victory over Foni Kansala in the opening game played at the Bwiam Football Field on Saturday, to snatch their first win in the qualifiers.

Black & White of Berending defeated Immigration on the same score-line at the Brikama Mini Stadium, on the same day and bagged their first win in the qualifiers.

While Bombada also beat Kombo East on the same score-lines at the Kuloro Football Field on the same day to secure their first win in the qualifiers.

The Sifoe and Brufut game was called off due to Brufut’s participation in the 2012 Super Nawettan zonal football competition where they will meet Serrekunda East in the quarterfinal today, 18 December 2012, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Kombo Kerewan, Black & White of Berending and Bombada are each with 3 points in single game, while Foni Kansala, Kombo East and Immigration are each with zero points in single game.

According to the treasurer of West Coast Region Sports Committee, Abdou Karim Sey, eight teams are lining up for the 2012-2013 West Coast Region third qualifiers and are divided into two groups of four teams with two to qualify in each group for the semi finals.
