The head coach of Gunjur zonal team, Lamin Kaku Jabang, has expressed his disappointment with the behaviour of the fans after his side lost to Serrekunda East in the third place play-off on Saturday at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Speaking to Pointsports, coach Jabang said that he and his coaching staff had done well in this year's zonal competition and said that his boys put in some spectacular performances in the tournament.
He stated that he was disappointed with the manner and the way they were humiliated and disgraced by fans, saying "I think we break a great history this year. I believe that we did some special thing for the people of Gunjur, I see no reason why they should insult our mothers." He advised the fans to maintain discipline and know that football is win and lose.
He thanked all those who supported the team in their preparations for the tournament and he urged them to keep up the momentum.
Coach Jabang finally appealed to the fans to keep calm and continue supporting the team as one way or another they will win the trophy.
