Volleyball supremo returns from Ouagadougou

Musa Casa Taal, president of The Gambia Volleyball Association in the early hrs of Yesterday morning returned to Banjul from Ouagadougou, Brukina Faso where he attended the decoration of the Burkinabe President Blaise Compaoré, who took to the stage to receive an honor for his valuable contribution  to the development of Volleyball in Zone 3

The Burkinabe leader together with his comrade Gabriel Diendiene also a Parrian meaning (the honorary president of zone 3 Volleyball Federation) were honored by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) for their contribution to the development of Volleyball in zone 3. The colorful ceremony Pointsports, understands, was held at the Presidential residence in Ouagadougou last Monday.

The Gambia Volleyball Association supremo who spoke to Pointsport in an interview with this reporter a few hrs after his arrival from the West African nation said, “I was invited to attend the decoration by the president of Burkina Faso through the Zone 3 Volleyball Federation.”

Taal has since returned home successfully.

The Oaugadougou gathering has also witnessed the decoration of three other sports personalities including Sawadougou, president of Zone 3 Volleyball Federation, Pointsport can confirm.
