UK High Commissioner to cheer on ‘Team Gambia’

UK High Commissioner to The Gambia David Morley yesterday wished ‘Team Gambia’ the best of luck as they are prepared to compete in athletics events this weekend at the London 2012 Olympics. 

Suwaibou Sanneh will compete tomorrow in the men’s 100 metres, with fellow Gambian Saruba Colley competing in the female 100-metre race. 

Commenting on the development, High Commissioner David Morley said: “I met both athletes a few weeks ago before they headed to the UK and I wanted to again wish both of them the best of luck for their races tomorrow. This weekend I will be cheering on both Team GB and Team Gambia and hope both teams can bring in plenty of medals.”
