The Normalisation Committee of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) on Thursday 2 August 2012 began the distribution of the GFA draft constitution to all stakeholders in the country.
According to a press release signed by media officer Bakary B. Baldeh, this came after the Constitutional Review Committee headed by Vice Chairman Alhagie Omar Sey concluded a laborious academic exercise on the GFA constitution.
The release added: “This scholarly and painstaking exercise was also followed by a roundtable consultative meeting with Mr Primo Carvalo and Mr Prosper Abega of FIFA with the view to aligning it with the FIFA recommended status for the greater good of the game in The Gambia.”
The distribution exercise, the release added, will embrace all regions, including the Greater Banjul Area, and is expected to last for four days.
Each region is allocated ten copies of the draft constitution for the perusal of the stakeholders including the Mayors and Regional Governors.
