UK Enterprise and Farm 4Life, in collaboration with Star GSM, donated some medical items to Serrekunda General Hospital, at a ceremony held at the hospital grounds on Monday.
Speaking
at the ceremony, Lloyo Clewer, leader for Farm4Life, thanked the staff and
management of the hospital for the warm welcome accorded to them.
“This
is something that we just want to show our passion to help The Gambia,” he
said.
In
receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Ivan Corker, Hospital
Administrator, thanked UK Enterprise and Farm4Life. He said all this happened
because of the collaboration between Star GSM, UK Enterprise and Farm4Life.
He
said the items donated are very important to the hospital, adding that
Serrekunda Hospital serves a very big area, with a big population, and that the
materials will go a long way in making services more readily available at the
hospital.
He
assured the donors that the items would be put to good use and said that Star
GSM has been very supportive.
“We must endeavor, as a family, to forge
closer collaboration with significant others and genuine partners and Star GSM
is one of them,” he said.
