UDP starts rallies in earnest today

Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, leader of the main opposition party, UDP, has told The Point in an interview that the police yesterday issued his party a permit to organise political rallies using a PA system upcountry.

“We will start the rallies on Tuesday [today] in earnest, “ he said, adding that during the rallies they would be discussing topical issues on health, agriculture, poverty alleviation, education,the rule of law , and the economic situation of the country.
