Justice
O. Ottaba of the Special Criminal Court Division of the Banjul High Court
yesterday adjourned the bail application of 14 supporters of the United
Democratic Party (UDP), for ruling, after both parties adopted their briefs of
argument.
Adopting
the applicants’ briefs, senior counsel Hawa Sisay-Sabally urged the court to
grant the application as prayed.
While
also adopting the respondent’s brief, state counsel B. Jaiteh urged the court
to refuse the application.
Justice
Ottaba said the applicants’ brief and the respondent’s brief were adopted, and
he subsequently adjourned the case until 25 October 2016, for ruling.
