Magistrate Drammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently cautioned and discharged Jennifer Singhateh and Cherno Singhateh, who were charged with prohibition of conduct, conducive to the breach of the peace.

According to the charge sheet, on 4 April 2001, at the British Embassy visa section in Fajara, the Kanifing Municipality, the accused behaved violently towards the British Embassy staff in protest of a visa denial of her husband, Cherno Singhateh, in a manner likely to occasion a breach of peace.
