The trial of three former Ministry of Agriculture officials was yesterday adjourned for 13 October 2015, before Justice Abi of the Banjul High Court.

They are the former permanent secretary at the ministry, Ada Gaye, the ex-programme coordinator of Rural Finance Project, Lamin Fatajo, and the ex-administrative manager of the Rural Finance Project, Muhammed Lamin Mass.

They were indicted on an 11-count amended charge ranging from abuse of office to neglect of official duty, economic crimes and disobedience to statutory duty, which they all denied.

When the case was called, the state prosecution asked for an adjournment, as his witness was not able to make it to court.

The case was then adjourned until 13 October 2015, for hearing.
