Traditional communicators trained on key FGM Messages

The Committee of Banjul Muslim Elders (CBME) has elected Imam Alhaji Abdourahman Bah as secretary general, and Alhaji Sheikh Tijan Njie as assistant secretary general, the committee has announced.

A press release from the committee said the new elected officials are devout Muslims and dedicated servants of the community of Banjul. 

“They will serve the Muslim Ummah in Banjul and by extension the entire country,” CBME said in the statement.  “Their experience and leadership qualities will prove crucial as embrace the challenge and opportunities of the future.” 

The committee said the Muslim community in Banjul congratulates the new secretaries and offer their prayers and best wishes to them as they embark on a new journey in the positions they hold.
