The Gambia Football Association (GFA) is set to convene a press conference today (Wednesday) 28th September 2011, a press released from the FA has announced.
The press conference is designed to shed light on some of the misconceptions attributed to the GFA executive’s manner of handling the affairs of football thus making the public have a negative perception about the GFA.
Full text of the press released signed by Bakary B. Baldeh, media officer of the Gambia Football Association reads:
“I write to invite you to attend a press conference by the Gambia Football Association on Wednesday 28th September, 2011 at the GFA Secretariat in Kanifing at 1300 hrs local time.
“The prompt timing of the press conference is to bring to light some misconceptions attributed to the Gambia Football Association executive’s manner of handling the affairs of football, thus making the public have a negative perception about the GFA.
“I look forward to seeing you on the day as very pertinent matters relative to the FIFA annual subvention, FIFA goal project, grass roots football and the GFA’s relationship with the Football Task Force Committee would all be discussed.
“Thank you for your cooperation, and please do accept our prompt call for the timing of the press conference”.
