The
trial involving Tina Faal could not proceed yesterday at the Banjul
Magistrates’ Court.
The
clerk of the court told Lawyer Antouman Gaye, who was representing Tina Faal,
that the case could not proceed because the presiding Magistrate Omar Cham was
on leave.
Prosecutor
Jaiteh held brief for Inspector Sarja Sanyang, the prosecutor in the case.
The
case was then adjourned until 13 October 2016.
Tina
Faal was earlier arraigned at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate
Omar Cham, charged with conspiracy, obtaining goods by false pretence and
theft.
She,
however, denied any wrongdoing.
