After seven weeks of play in the Second Division, Nema United are moving closer to leaders, Brikama United . They are now at fourteen points with Brikama having a game in hand. Nema United drew with Kaira Silo 1-1 to increase their points to 14. Both Nema and Brikama United are potential winners of the league as both have strong credentials. Young Africans are another contender as they are also led by a narrow margin by the two teams on top.
Brikama United's game against Flamemins in Week 7 could not take place as Pointsports was reliably informed that Flamemins failed to turn up on Wednesday at the Serrekunda East Mini stadium when Brikama was already waiting at the ground at the scheduled time.
A decision is yet to be made by the organizing committee on the case of the two teams concerning the matter.
