The prosecuting officer, Inspector Mballow, on 24th January 2009 called on his second prosecution witness Mr Giki Darboe in the case of one Musa Sidebeh before the Kanifing Magistrates' Court presided over by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbacke.

In his evidence in chief, Pw2 Mr Giki Darboe adduced that he lives at Latrikunda German and is a refrigerator technician, adding that he recognised the accused person in the dock.

He testified that he also knows PW1 Binta Konateh, and that all what he knows about the two parties was that they were at Kanilia with other artists for a concert and the accused was given a tie & dye contract, but the accused had no money to finance it.

According to PW2, the contract was financed by PW1 Binta Konateh which amounted to D120, 000.

He adduced that when the presidential campaign was nearer the accused was indisposed and delegated him to go on his behalf for a contract of 150 tie dye pieces to be manufactured by the complainant.

It will be recalled that the accused, Musa Sidebeh, on or about the month of October in Serrekunda obtained 150 tie & dye pieces of material from one Binta Konateh at the cost of D800 each, totaling D120, 000 with the pretext that the order was from the State House.
