The Kanifing Magistrates’ Court recently discharged Marcel Gibba, Tijan Manga and Ablie Kah, who were arraigned on a charge of stealing from a motor vehicle.
This followed the application made by the prosecuting officer that the complainant did not want to take legal action against the accused persons and was therefore applying to withdraw the case against them.
According to the charge sheet, on 16 January 2012, at Latrikunda German, in the Kanifing Municipality, the three allegedly stole from a motor vehicle with registration number BJL 0394F, one small bag containing the following: Sony Ericison marked Xperia valued at D12, 000, Samsung double-sim phone valued at D9, 000, USB data card valued at D2, 900, a bunch of keys, and a double-sim phone of an unknown value.
