Gambian
professional coach Tapha Manneh has guided his Liberian top flight team, LISCR
FC to the traditional ‘Who owns the land’ tournament in the male category after
defeating Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) 1-0 in the final.
The
tournament was organized by the Liberia Football Association (LFA) with support
from the Liberia Land Authority (LLA).
Striker
Christopher Jackson scored the only goal of the game for his team after a fine
finished to give his side all what they needed in the game.
The
goal from Christopher Jackson summed up his total goals in the tournament to
seven out of five games, making him the highest goal scorer in the tournament.
As
winners LISCR FC were awarded a giant trophy, medals and a check of L$200,000,
while the runners-up, Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) were presented silver
medals.
Meanwhile,
Lamin-born Coach, Tapha Manneh, also guided LISCR FC to be crowned champions of
the Liberia League Curtain raiser (Super Cup) final after beating last year’s
league winners LPRC Oilers.
The
trophy was Tapha Manneh’s fifth Super Cup in his coaching career and his fifth
trophy with the Shipping boys.
He
won One League Title, Two FA Cups and Two Super Cup respectively for the
Shipping boys.
