Table Tennis Association set to decentralise

The Gambia Table Tennis Association recently presented a set of table tennis to the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO).

This is part of the association?s drive to decentralise the game nationwide.

Peter Prom, the President of Gambia Table Tennis Association said "We want to decentralise the game and so we believe that Serrekunda East and Brikama could be a better place to start with."

Prom was thrilled with the level of interest shown at Serrekunda East, coupled with the organised structure.

Saihou Bah, the First Vice-President of Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation said Serrekunda East zone would manage the equipment, as well as appoint new Programme Officer for table tennis.

Alagie Nyassi, the Secretary-General for Serrekunda East Sports Development assured the Gambia Table Tennis Association that the table would be put to good use, and that Serrekunda East will work towards having a best player that would one day represent the country in international competition and bring glory to the nation.
