After a long investigation on the final of the second edition of the Muhammed Yahya Jammeh Perpetual Cup Championship between Serrekunda East and Bakau at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium, Serrekunda East have finally collected their trophy on Sunday 21st March 2010, at a colourful ceremony held at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
Serrekunda East zone were awarded a giant trophy, 25 gold medals and a cash prize of D50, 000 as the winners of the 2009-10 championship.
Serrekunda West zone occupied third place and they were awarded with 25 bronze medals.
The officials of the match were also awarded with 4 silver medals, which were received by Uncle Badou Jassey, on their behalf.
The fair play trophy also went to Serrekunda East zone. The best player of the tournament went to Mulai Jassey of Serrekunda East.
Alagie Amadou Ngum of Serrekunda East was named the most disciplined player of the tournament. Alagie Modou Jobe also of Serrekunda East was awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament, while the leading goal scorer of the tournament went to Ousman Touray of Serrekunda East.
