The
Super Organising Committee has fined defending champions Serrekunda West
D10,000 after their fan Lamin Ceesay
invaded the pitch and blow referee Mustapha Ndow during their 2016 FiBank Super
Nawettan match against Brikama at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Saturday.
The
incident occurred when Alieu Jammeh netted the second goal for Brikama five
minutes before final whistle, prompting Serrekunda West fan Lamin Ceesay to
invade the pitch and hit central referee Mustapha Ndow.
The
Super Nawettan Organising Committee has suspended two Serrekunda West zonal
team officials for the rest of the Super Nawettan after their misconduct during
their game against Brikama at the weekend.
The
Super Nawettan Organising Committee has also banned Serrekunda West zonal team from
playing their home games at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium following a fracas
against Brikama on Saturday.
It
would be recalled that Serrekunda West beat Sukuta on penalties, after the
regulation time finished goalless in a well-attended final game played at the
Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to clinch the 2015 FiBank-sponsored Super
Nawettan.
