The
draw for the 2016 Super Nawettan zonal football championship is fixed for
today, Tuesday 27 September 2016, at the Gambia Football Federation Secretariat
in Kanifing Layout, at 5pm.
Twelve
major nawettan zones will be drawn into two groups of sixteen teams each.
The
2016 country’s community biggest football jamboree is set to kick off on 8
October 2016.
The
Super nawettan zonal football championship attracts more spectators, ambiance
and funds than the national division one and division two leagues.
National
division one and division two coaches use Super nawettan zonal football fray to
scout good players for their respective teams.
It
would be recalled that Serrekunda won the 2015 Super Nawettan zonal football
championship after beating Sukuta on penalties, after the regulation time
failed to produce a winner in a keenly contested final game played at the
Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
The
2015 Super nawettan zonal football championship was bankrolled by FIBank Gambia
Limited.
