The 2015 FIBank-sponsored Super Nawetan semifinal matches are set for today, Tuesday 10 November 2015, after completion of the quarterfinal games at the weekend.
As part of the semifinal games, today, Sukuta will clash with the 2014 Super Nawetan champions Serrekunda East in the first semifinal at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium at 4pm.
Sukuta beat Brufut 2-1 in the all-Kombo North derby clash in the quarterfinal game played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, to advance to the semifinal.
The Dembadou boys beat Serrekunda East 2-1 in the group stage to top group A, and will be targeting another win against Serrekunda East to progress to the final as well as keep their chances of winning their second super nawetan title since 2005 when they beat Serrekunda West 2-1 in the final courtesy of striker Lamin Camara Ronaldo and Ousman Jarjue Raul, to claim their first-ever super nawetan title.
Serrekunda East defeated Manjai on penalties, after the regulation time failed to produce a winner in the quarterfinal game played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Saturday.
The East boys will be approaching for revenge against Sukuta to sail to the final after losing to Dembadou boys 2-1 in the group stage, before beating bitter rivals Serrekunda West in their final group game to advance to the last eight.
On Wednesday 11 November 2015, Bakau will clash with Serrekunda West in the all-Kanifing Municipality derby in the second semifinal at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at 4pm.
Bakau progressed to the semifinal after a resounding 2-0 win over arch-rivals Banjul in the quarterfinal game played at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Saturday.
The beach boys will be going all out for a win against the West Side boys to sail to the final as well as to keep their hopes of winning the super nawetan after losing to Serrekunda East in the final in 2014 on penalties, following the regulation time which failed to produce a winner at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
