Manneh, commonly called alias Sulay, came out first position in the men 100 and 200-meter races during a weeklong athletic championship hosted in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with Pointsport recently, Sulay said he was really delighted at securing first position in the men 100- and 200-meter races, adding that he had been training for the championship for many months.
Sulay said it was very difficult for him to establish himself in Nigeria because it was his first international outing, adding that despite lack of experience at the international arena he managed to come out first position in the men 100- and 200-meter races.
According to Sulay, he would continue to train very hard to stand a better chance of representing The Gambia in international athletics competitions in the near future.
