Sulayman Bah won the 2011/ 2012 most outstanding sports journalist writer of the year at the 4th edition of the Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia (SJAG) award ceremony held at the SunSwing Hotel in Kololi recently.
2011/12 Achievements
Bah works for Foroyaa Newspaper at the Sports Desk. He covers seasonal issues on Gambian sports as well as Gambian football abroad.
Bah, who expressed joy over the award presented to him upon receiving it, said: “I felt so excited and surprise when I heard my name called as the winner of the 2012 sportswriter.”
Sulayman urged his fellow reporters from various media houses to trade their profession with great seriousness, adding that journalism is one of the reputable professions in the world.
