Gambia’s forward Momodou Ceesay is not part of the Gambian squad that has headed for Morocco for the World Cup qualifying rounds set for the weekend.
Ceesay was part of the Scorpions team that lost to Ivory Coast 3-1 last weekend. The Striker, according to reliable sources, has left town and returned to base.
Ceesay, alias Zico, plays with Kazakhstan club Kairat Almaty. He has so far made 13 league appearances scoring six goals after making his move from Zilina last season, soccerway has revealed.
He is second to Akzhayik’s Zenkovich, who is so far leading with 9 goals.
Ceesay will miss The Gambia’s 5th qualifying game after playing all the four qualifying matches of The Gambia for the Brazil 2014.
