The
Banjul High Court presided over by Justice Abi Tuesday adjourned the economic
crime case involving five former agricultural officials for the state to amend
the charges and for mentioning.
The accused persons are the former permanent secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Ada Gaye, Fafanding Fatajo, project coordinator for the Food and Agriculture Sector Development Project (FASDEP), Omar Jammeh, financial controller of the project, Foday Jadama, deputy director of Soil and Water Management Services under the ministry, and Dr Abdou Ceesay, director of the Department of Livestock Services.
A.M. Yusuf represented the state whilst L.S. Camara represented the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th accused and S.M. Tambadou represented the 1st accused.

Yusuf told the court they were to amend the charge and the case was then
adjourned till 29 June 2015, at 1 to 3pm.
