Members of the Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia will tomorrow Wednesday vote in the various categories of the 4th National Award.
Six categories are set to be voted for. These are the player of the year, most outstanding organization in support of sport, team of the year, breakthrough sport of the year, most outstanding paralympic player of the year, sports personality of the year, and the most outstanding organisation in support of sport.
The voting, which will be conducted from10.00am to 5.00pm, will take place at The Point newspaper offices.
The journalists’ vote will account for 60% of the total votes to be cast.
The annual event is meant to honour people and groups in sport for their achievements over the years thus contributing to the attainment of excellence in sport.
Members of the public can vote for any of the nominated personalities by sending an SMS indicating their names to 7401 as much as they like to increase their chances of winning ahead of the award set for Saturday 1st September 2012 at the Jerma Beach Hotel.
