Sports Journalist Association of the Gambia (SJAG) has announced that all media houses shall use the 4 accreditation cards provided by the GFF to each media house for the AFCON qualifier for the Super Nawetan coverage.
These modalities of press coverage of the upcoming Super Nawetan, the SJAG said, was agreed on during a meeting it had on Tuesday at the GFF House in Kanifing with the SOC.
It was also agreed by both parties that no journalist(s) will be allowed into the main football pitch when a game has kicked off, except half time, added the SJAG release issued by the secretary general.
Therefore, all sports journalists on coverage assignment should endeavour to be at all games on time. They must also come along with their accreditation cards, the release emphasised.
Concluding, the SJAG Executive urged all sports journalists to adhere to the ethics of the profession, as the organizing committee “has observed with concern” that some journalists were seen “openly associating themselves with zones during matches” in the previous editions.
The SJAG executive and the Super Nawetan Organising Committee would like to call on all media houses and sports journalists to comply with the laid down rules for a successful super nawetan.
