Begloball is a sport marketing agency based in Hamburg, Germany. Begloball, established in 2009, is aimed at exposing young African talents to the wider world.
Bakary Njie, CEO of Beglobal, said the agency, which now has a partner in Brazil, was started by him and some of his friends.
He said the agency is in The Gambia for the first time despite existing in places like Nigeria, Ghana and other countries in the sub-region.
The project, he said, will do a lot for The Gambia because “this is the first Gambia owned agency in Germany”. Begloball will try to market some outstanding Gambian sportsmen to the international market.
Bakary also pointed out that the agency will also look at other sports such as basketball, volleyball, and athletics in future.
He said Begloball is trying to set up a sport outlet which will be a sport centre with a difference as they will be conducting training on sport management at junior, intermediary and professional levels with sport management qualification.
The Gambian sportsman added that Begloball has some big plans for Gambian football as they intent to work with the GFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and they will be marketing Gambian players to the international market.
Meanwhile, Begloball is building up a third division team to compete in the upcoming Serrekunda West Third Division qualifiers.
In their quest for qualification to the third division, they played a test match with the German boys recently at the LK field and lost 2-1.
